President Boris Tadic says that Serbia would continue and conclude cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. This, the president said according to a Beta news agency reports, will come regardless of the Netherlands' approach to the issue. Tadic: We'll complete Hague cooperation "We are doing it for us, not for the Hague tribunal or the European Union, but for conciliation among the states and nations in the region; and I see it as our duty," Tadic told Radio Free Europe. Asked why it was so difficult to find and apprehend wartime Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic, Tadic replied that the case was not a unique one and that there were similar examples in today's global politics when it came to finding "such people with vast experience, some kind of fanatic". "We will apprehend and extradite the Hague [tribunal] indictees – Mladic and Goran Hadzic, if they are on Serbian territory, and I hope they are, because only in those circumstances can cooperation be possible; otherwise, that would be an impossible mission and that is what concerns me the most. But we will continue with all our efforts," Tadic stated. To the question where he saw Serbia in five years and if the country would join NATO, Tadic responded that Serbia was in the Partnership for Peace and that there was room for further developing relations within that program, while "what will happen in the next five or ten years" was up to the Serbian people.
