Security at the Belgrade District Prison has been tightened and the group of guards monitoring Milorad Ulemek changed “just in case”, writes daily Blic. Milan Obradovic, the director of the Administration for the Execution of Penitentiary Sanctions within the Justice Ministry, told Blic that, according to Ulemek, the plastic pistol found in his cell had been a present from his children and that he had had it for some time. Ulemek guards changed Obradovic said that the authorities were intensively seeking to establish who had supplied Ulemek with the pistol and who his potential accomplices could have been. He said that it was impossible to bring a real pistol into the prison because there were metal detectors situated at all the entrances and exits. Milorad Ulemek (Beta, archive)
