Criminals forge biometric documents?

Vijesti newspaper reports that the Montenegrin police believe the plates ended up in Serbia, and that they were stolen by a criminal group that also forges traffic licenses for vehicles. The thieves are believed to have taken only new license plates, some of them from cars belonging to the Agency for National Security, Montenegrin Defense Ministry and other state institutions. The plates will likely be sold to Serbians who drive cars with Montenegrin documentation, the daily says. But, the Montenegrin police say they still can't explain how the gang managed to forge the licenses, since they are biometric, "with at least ten characteristics". Montenegro's police have notified Serbia's MUP about the case, and requested assistance in solving it.
