The president of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal said that they would be “doing a favor for the state.“ Ljajic calls for public help He told journalists in Belgrade that reporting the Hague fugitives, Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic was, apart from anything else, a legal obligation. He said that the warrants for the two men’s arrest were on display in all police stations and courts throughout Serbia. “The gains from Mladic’s extradition far outweigh the sums being offered for information leading to his arrest,“ said Ljajic. The president of the National Council said that his action team was not “relying“ on the warrant, but that this was just one of the measures that would hasten Mladic and Hadzic’s arrest. “We’re relying on the work of the service and the good coordination between the civil and military services that exists currently, while the warrant is just one of the measures,“ explained Ljajic. The warrants for the fugitives’ arrest were issued on the orders of the Action Team for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. The warrant states that the reward for information leading to Mladic’s arrest is EUR 1mn and EUR 250,000 for Hadzic.
