Police (MUP) in Nis have confirmed that one person was killed and one injured in a shootout yesterday. The police said in a short statement that the incident took place in the southern Serbian city yesterday at about 17:00 CET. MUP confirms Nis shootout fatality Two men were involved, the statement said, one of which was killed, while the other suffered injuries. MUP added that a Nis District Court investigative judge was at the scene of the firefight and that police are working on determining the circumstances and motives behind the incident. The victim was identified as Aladin A., 40. Sain A., 51 was seriously wounded and is treated at a Nis clinic. Yesterday, news agencies said that the shooting took place in a Roma settlement near the Nisava River.
