Serbia is "ready to provide the best possible conditions for Indian companies that want to invest in our country," says Aleksandar Vucic.

Indian companies promised "best possible conditions"
Vucic "expressed his hope that Serbian companies will also find a fertile ground for investment in India, and congratulated Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on very good economic results," the Serbian government said in a statement posted on its website.He also "stressed that Serbia will always be a reliable partner of India and reminded Modi that he had promised him earlier today that he would visit Serbia."
Earlier in the day, Vucic met with Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani, who is hosting summit.
Vucic "stressed the importance of economic cooperation between Serbia and the state of Gujarat, especially in agriculture, food industry and the information technology sector," and extended an invitation for an economic delegation of Gujarat to visit Serbia.
Rupani said that Indian companies "can learn a lot in Serbia" and that it is important to take over experience and innovation from Serbian agriculture and food industry.
Vucic also met with Pankaj Patel, President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce, which has 2.5 million members. The meeting focused on improvement of cooperation between the two chambers of commerce and mutual promotion of Serbia and India as tourist destinations.
Patel made a proposal for Serbia be a partner of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of India in the Central Business Summit, and stressed that it is especially important to strengthen cooperation in the defense industry, but also in promoting Serbia as a suitable place for the development of the film industry, the Serbian government said.
Also on Tuesday, Vucic met with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi.
