"Srbijagas to operate through two business units"

Srbijagas has not slipped behind the schedule in the restructuring process, the public company's CEO Dusan Bajatovic said on Friday.

"Srbijagas to operate through two business units"

He said he "had not quite understood" the statements by Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopac that Serbia was behind time in the restructuring process.

“I do not know where Kopac found grounds for such a statement,” said the Srbijagas CEO, after signing an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation with Oleg Aksyutin, a member of the Gazprom Management Committee.

Bajatovic said that Srbijagas was not running behind the schedule in any programs agreed with the IMF, World Bank, Energy Community and the European Commission.

In line with the EU requirements, Srbijagas is due to unbundle into a transmission system operator and a gas supplier.
