Serbian currency ends week stronger against euro

The dinar rose against the euro by 0.1 percent Friday, making the official medium exchange rate RSD 123.0018, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said.

Serbian currency ends week stronger against euro

The central bank sold EUR 10 million on the interbank foreign exchange market on Thursday to curb major exchange rate fluctuations, taking the total to EUR 510 million sold and EUR 10 million purchased since the beginning of the year.

The national currency dropped by 0.2 percent against the eurozone currency compared to a month ago and by 2.4 percent compared to a year ago.

The dinar-to-dollar indicative exchange rate rose by 1.0 percent to RSD 108.6780.

The dinar rose by 1.3 percent against the US currency compared to a month ago and by 4.3 percent compared to a year ago.
