"It is necessary to do everything so that business can adapt to the new conditions, and to increase trade," said Chepurin at the opening of the Expo-Russia Serbia 2016 in Belgrade on Wednesday, adding that this is expected to happen in 2016.

He said the companies exhibiting during the Expo Russia Serbia come from the fields of energy, machine building, mining, the chemical industry, construction, and transport, and that this speaks about the potential of the two countries' economies.

Zlatiborac General Director Dusan Knezevic told Beta agency that thus company has been exporting food products to Russia since 2012, and that Zlatiborac Trade was opened in Moscow two months ago, as a way to "directly approach the Russian consumer."

"The Russian consumer is demanding, modern and well-informed," said Knezevic.

The aim of opening the company in Moscow is to create a better continuity of supply to the Russian market, he added, noting that oscillation of the exchange rate of the ruble was "the biggest problem."

"We expect that we will overcome the problems and be placing, longterm, our products in the Russian market," he said.
