Mihajlovic expects the trip from Belgrade to Novi Sad to to take 30 minutes and from Belgrade to Budapest two hours and 45 minutes in two years from now.

I believe that we will reach an agreement on the financing and move on to implementation very soon, said Mihajlovic.

She also said on Monday that political and economic relations between Serbia and China had been steadily improving over the recent years and Serbia would continue fostering cooperation with the Asian country.

Mihajlovic said that the mixed committee of the two countries would meet in China to discuss new projects in about two months from now.

Pointing to improvements in relations over the last seven years since Serbia and China signed a strategic agreement, Mihajlovic said that "a lot can be learned from China and many areas for cooperation are now opening," said Mihajlovic.

Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang said in Belgrade Monday that relations between Serbia and China were at their best since the two countries had established diplomatic relations and there was room to improve cooperation in various fields.

Speaking at the "Serbia on the New Silk Road - How to successfully do business with the People's Republic of China" conference, Li said that the Serbian and Chinese PMs had signed many documents on cooperation at the end of 2015, including memoranda on two key projects - Smederevo steelworks privatization and building industrial parks in Serbia.

Good political relationship has created good environment for cooperation in all areas, including in agriculture, tourism, culture and other areas, said Li.
