"Etno Food and Drink Fair" opens in Belgrade

The fair was declared open by Agriculture Minister Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic, who pointed to a growing demand for authentic and traditional products in the food market.

Traditional production is mostly linked to the so-called small farmers, and their involvement in production chains would be one of the challenges, she added.

Boskovic said that the ministry had prepared rulebooks for small dairy, cattle and plant farmers, setting out the market requirements.

“Rulebooks are completely adjusted to their capacities, and harmonized with experiences from other neighboring countries, primarily Austria and Hungary,” she noted.
