MOSCOW An agreement on state export loan worth USD 800mn for the needs of Serbian Railways was signed on Friday in Moscow. The agreement was signed by Serbian Economy and Finance Minister Mladjan Dinkic and Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov in Moscow. Serbian, Russian ministers sign agreement on USD 800mn loan The agreement on the state export loan for financing of the railway infrastructure in Serbia reads that the funds will be used for construction and electrification of 16 kilometer-long section of the Belgrade-Pancevo railroad and construction of the electrified single-track 68 kilometer railway line between Valjevo and Loznica. The funds are also intended for rehabilitation of six railway sections along Corridor 10 totaling 111 kilometers, modernization of the Belgrade-Bar railway and procurement of diesel engine trains produced in Russia. The Serbian and the Russian finance ministers will also discuss the realization of a one billion dollar loan as support to the Serbian budget.
