The Serbian and Russian governments have signed an agreement on annual supplies of five billion cubic meters of natural gas by Russia’s Gazprom.

BELGRADE The Serbian and Russian governments have signed an agreement on annual supplies of five billion cubic meters of natural gas by Russia’s Gazprom. Serbia will receive the agreed amount of gas until 2021 and the supplies will help strengthen Serbia’s energy security. Serbia, Russia ink gas supply deal The agreement was signed by Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak and his Serbian counterpart Zorana Mihajlovic in the Serbian government headquarters in Belgrade on Saturday. Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic was also present during the signing. The Russian government approved the future exports of Russian gas to Serbia on condition that Serbia pays back USD 30mn for Russian gas supplied from November 2000 until January 2001 and about USD 10mn for supplies between 1995 and 2000. The agreement was signed by Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak and his Serbian counterpart Zorana Mihajlović in the Serbian government headquarters in Belgrade on Saturday.

Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić was also present during the signing.

The Russian government approved the future exports of Russian gas to Serbia on condition that Serbia pays back USD 30mn for Russian gas supplied from November 2000 until January 2001 and about USD 10mn for supplies between 1995 and 2000.
