The Serbian dinar (RSD) strengthened against the euro (EUR) by another 45 paras on Wednesday, the first working day after the Labor Day public holiday. The domestic currency has reached a new record high in 2011 with the official middle exchange rate at RSD 99.1755. RSD exchange rate stays below 100 This was announced in Belgrade by the National Bank of Serbia (NBS). The dinar reached its lowest level against the euro on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947. Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once by purchasing EUR 5mn in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

This was announced in Belgrade by the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).

The dinar reached its lowest level against the euro on January 6, with the exchange rate at RSD 106.4947.

Since the beginning of 2011, the central bank intervened in the interbank foreign exchange market only once by purchasing EUR 5mn in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.
