Serbia's export of agriculture products over the past 11 months brought in a record USD 1.07bn worth of trade surplus. This is according to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) data, released on Thursday. According to Stankovic, food product export increased by 12.7 percent in 2010, while the import was 3.7 percent higher than in the year before. The share of agricultural product exports in Serbia's total export amounted to 22.4 percent, while the participation of the agricultural product import in the country's overall imports added up to 6 percent. The surplus in the exchange of agricultural products in this period is by 21.7 percent higher, and it exceeds the country's total food import, Stankovic added.
