The 10th annual Economic Summit of the Republic of Serbia, which is being attended by over 30 presenters and 150 guests, opened in Belgrade on Monday. The two-day conference is being held under the auspices of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Foreign Investors Council. Economic summit begins in Belgrade According to organizers, Economic Summit 2010 will focus on the government's priority activities aimed at enhancing regional stability, encouraging Serbian economy, promoting the country's EU accession process and attracting foreign investments and partners for major projects in Serbia. The summit will be opened by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Minster for European Integration and Minister for Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic and President of the AP Vojvodina Executive Council Bojan Pajtic. According to the announcements, participants of the conference will also be addressed by Slovenian Minister of Transport Patrik Vlacic, Serbian Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic, Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Jasna Matic and Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic. The first conference day will focus on Serbia's political and economic challenges and the road map to Europe in view of the European economic crisis, while the topic for the Tuesday discussion will refer to achievements made in Serbia from 2000 to 2010 and what needs to be done ahead.
