Only dinar loans to be subsidized

Starting May 1, Serbia will subsidize only the Serbian dinar (RSD) indexed loans, it has been announced in Belgrade today. Interest rate against the liquidity of approved loans will be seven percent annually. Only dinar loans to be subsidized Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic said that the government adopted a decree that will regulate this decision. One billion dinars will also be set aside from the budget to finance dinar liquidity loans. Dinkic also stated that “half a billion euros” has already been approved to citizens and companies in the first three months of implementing this year's decree. “That's almost half of last year's figure. Last year banks approved EUR 1.1bn in subsidized loans, and in the first three months of this year we already had half a billion,” Dinkic was quoted as saying. Mladjan Dinkic (Tanjug, file)

Economy Minister Mlađan Dinkić said that the government adopted a decree that will regulate this decision.

Dinkić also stated that “half a billion euros” has already been approved to citizens and companies in the first three months of implementing this year's decree.
