I am proud of the Zastava workers, because in the space of three months, they’ve increased productivity threefold, and that is why they will be the first in Serbia to get bonuses of an average monthly wage for the excellent results, from the profits from the sale of the Kragujevac Punto,” Dinkic said. Visiting the factory, Dinkic said that new investment was expected in the fall for the production of a completely new model, and that, by then, production capacities would have reached a level of 50,000 automobiles per year. “The agreement with Fiat will be completely put into action, and there will be a new model of automobiles launched on to foreign markets from Serbia. Investments will begin in the fall and I expect production of the new model to begin at the end of next year, and in 2011, the factory in Kragujevac will work with full capacities of 200,000 new vehicles per year,” Dinkic said. Since the end of March this year, when production of the Punto Classic began, 4,780 vehicles have been assembled in Kragujevac.
