President Boris Tadic on Friday in Belgrade met with Intel Corporation Chairman of the Board Craig Barrett. Tadic suggested that the U.S. giant should start manufacturing some of its products in Serbia. Tadic invites Intel to Serbia The president's press service said in a statement issued after the meeting that the two discussed the possibilities of technological development and solving the challenges brought on by the global economic crisis. Tadic and Barrett agreed that Serbia was given a chance to become a part of the world's leading chipmaker's development program through its support to a youth education project. Earlier on Friday, Barrett met with Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic, who is also in charge of the science portfolio in the cabinet. Intel's chairman of the board also visited a Belgrade elementary where 30 netbooks, designed to be used in class, were donated.
