Domestic currency slides again

After three days of gains against the euro, the Serbian dinar (RSD) lost 1.51 percent of its value on Thursday. The official exchange rate today was at RSD 85.2808 for one euro. Domestic currency slides again The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said that it did not intervene in the inter-banking market on Wednesday, after buying EUR 13.4mn earlier this weak. The central bank previously sought to stabilize the dinar by selling a total of EUR 806mn in the hard currency market in October, November and December. The dinar was at its yearly low on Dec. 4, when the exchange rate was RSD 91.6317 for one euro. The domestic currency lost 4.4 percent of its value Nov. 25-Dec. 4.

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said that it did not intervene in the inter-banking market on Wednesday, after buying EUR 13.4mn earlier this weak.

The central bank previously sought to stabilize the dinar by selling a total of EUR 806mn in the hard currency market in October, November and December.

The dinar was at its yearly low on Dec. 4, when the exchange rate was RSD 91.6317 for one euro. The domestic currency lost 4.4 percent of its value Nov. 25-Dec. 4.
