Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic, DS, says that Serbia offered the Russians to "ratify the energy agreement by summer". The Russian Federation, Beta reported from St. Petersburg where Djelic is taking part in the International Economics Forum, for its part proposed to help finance the construction of infrastructure in Serbia, through favorable merchandise loans. Djelic: Russia offers favorable loans Djelic told the news agency in a telephone conversation that the offer was made on behalf of Russia by that country's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin during their meeting on Sunday. "Russia, which now possesses vast financial potential, funds set up on oil and natural gas revenues, has offered to take part in financing our infrastructure through very favorable merchandise loans. We will consider the offer," Djelic said. He said that another topic of the meeting was confirming a duty-free trade treaty between Russia and Serbia, while Kudrin pledged to motion for a debate on this question at the government's next session. Djelic also said that he met with Gazprom and Gazpromneft representatives and that he arranged a visit to Serbia by Gazpromnenft representatives in ten days time, to agree on a draft pre-contract between the company, NIS and the Serbian EPS power company. Minister of Trade and Serbian delegation member Predrag Bubalo said that Gazprom representatives insisted on the quickest possible ratification of the energy agreement with Serbia and stressed that they were ready to invest in modernization of the Serbian state oil company, NIS. Bubalo said that the Serbian delegation also met with Russian Aeroflot representatives, who were interested in the privatization of Jat Airways.

Đelić told the news agency in a telephone conversation that the offer was made on behalf of Russia by that country's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin during their meeting on Sunday.
