Belgrade to host capital market conference

USAID in Serbia will organize a three-day conference dedicated to the capital market and investor protection. The United States Agency for International Development, USAID, announced the event, due to start on November 12 in Belgrade, in a statement Friday. Belgrade to host capital market conference The goal of the conference is to reinforce cooperation between the U.S. and regional regulatory bodies through an exchange of experience and best practice in the development and supervision of the capital market. The participants will include experts from the U.S. Securities Commission and those employed in the USAID-financed support to Serbian economic development program, SEGA. The conference will be opened by chief of the USAID Mission to Serbia and Montenegro Michael Harvey, President of the Serbian Securities Commission Milko Stimac and Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE) Director Gordana Dostanic. In addition to Serbian experts, employees at the Croatian Agency for the Supervision of Financial Services (HANFA) will also participate in the event.
